The plus side of having a comic book collection is you have a lot of weird stuff. The downside is figuring out what to talk about. Not this, though: In honor of Halloween, I bring you this delightful collection from Darkhorse. The Dark Horse Book Of Horror. It is a collection of horror stories from different comic book writers. Some are written in short story form, others in comic strips. I want to say my husband picked this out. Either way, it was a great find and a great read. The Book is broken down into sections:

Haunting

Witchcraft

The Dead

Monsters

I like a story from each section, though all the stories are well done. I felt energized when reading it because it is a collection of stories, possibly due to the length of the stories. I recommend this Book to people looking to get into comics. I think it is a good start, especially for those who enjoy horror or classical reading.

Another good Halloween comic is Halloween Tales by O.G. Boiscommun and D-P Filippi. It's a great collection of four stories that all take place on Halloween night. They tell the stories with kids as the main characters. As stated, there are only four stories, unlike the first Book, and there isn't a main theme; they all occur on Halloween. I didn't find this one scary, and I would say this would be fine for a kid around 10 years old.
