Whipped It,

I'm behind the whipped coffee craze. I saw a recipe online and realized I had all the ingredients to make it home, so I decided to give it a go. I can see why it became a hit! It is very pretty in a glass and also tasty. To give an idea of how it tastes, it's bitter ( as coffee is bitter), but it is smooth with the sweetness of the creamer or sugar you put in. The recipe is simple, and it is easy to remember. The one thing that I didn't like was the tools. The best tool is a small electric whisk; it helps to blend; however, if you do have that, you can pull out the hand mixer. If you don't have either of those, you can use just a plain wire mixer, which is a lot of work. I like the electric whisk; it works the best. If I were going to make a big batch for the summer to keep in the freezer and use over the week ( which I could see myself doing), I would use the hand mixer. For a single cup, the electric mixer. If I wanted, I'd be lazy; I'll grab my wire mixer and get done.

The recipe:

1 TBPS Instant coffee ( I like Starbucks coffee pike. Trade Joe blends is also delicious. The instant coffee needs to be coffee you enjoy and want to drink)

1 TBSP of Sugar

1 TBSP of hot water

Blend until frothy. Add a cup of milk or Almond, Oat, or Coconut milk. I milk, but I know many people cannot have it. So please drink what you like and what you can have and enjoy.

Add Ice and Ejoy!

Fun Fact: After making Whipped Coffee and having many types of drinks, I wanted to see what else I could make whipped. What I found:

Milk tea- works, really but you do need more powder to water ratio

3TBSP

1TBSP sugar

2TBSP water

Add your milk base and Ice. Add Ice and enjoy.

Trader Joe Matcha sadly didn't work. I really wanted it, but I couldn't get it to work.

Trader Joe Chai Tea also couldn't get to work, though blending it well made it nicer.

I was not a fan of instant iced tea, and I do like tea, but I think I like tea with tea; it also seemed very close to milk tea.

It was a fun experiment. I hope you enjoyed it!
